10. DJI Spark Palm Launch
If you have an admiration for miniature drones with insane technological capabilities, then you’ll love what the DJI Spark has to offer. The DJI Spark comes with 16 minutes of flight time and can be transmitted over a 1.2 mile distance, which is astounding given its size. The DJI Sparks ability to take off from the palm of your hand only enhances the quality. The drone comes in at 9.8″ L x 8.2″ W.
With the DJI Spark, you’ll find that the possibilities in regards to its intelligence is almost endless. Notable features of the DJI Spark include QuickShot, ActiveTrack, TapFly, and Gesture. QuickShot is an amazing capability that professional photographers are sure to love.
QuickShot will allow you to ascend with the drones camera pointing downwards, fly backwards and upwards, and even circle and spiral around your target. As if things couldn’t get any better, TapFly allows its fliers to direct their DJI Spark by simply tapping on the screen of your smartphone.
ActiveTrack is a very advanced GPS-capable feature that allows you to track various targets, be it a jogger, bird, or anything that moves in your surrounding environment. Gesture is another included feature that allows your Spark to take off from your very hand.
Its ability to recognize various hand gestures further lets individuals maneuver the Spark and shoot photos. All in all, the DJI Spark is a truly amazing, high-tech miniature drone that offers great affordability.
9. DJI Mavic Pro
If you’re looking for a DJI drone that is just as personal, portable, and easy to carry, then consider the DJI Mavic Pro. It comes with a generous 27 minutes of flight time, travels as fast as 65 KM/h, and can be controlled over 7 KM in distance.
Its 3-axis gimbal allows you to record video from just about any angle and does so at the desirable 4K resolution. Its camera resolution on the other hand, takes photos at a very high 12 MP resolution.
DJI considers their Mavic Pro to be one of its most powerful, small drones on the market. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Its foldability aspect gives the Mavic Pro the sense that this drone is truly high-tech.
Its FlightAutonomy feature gives this drone its very own eyes, allowing it to see objects from 49 feet away so that you don’t crash your precious Mavic Pro. Its FlightAutonomy further gives the drone a sense of precision and maneuvering unseen in most drones today.
Its other outstanding feature that we’ve already mentioned is its 27 minute flight time, which has had DJI enthusiasts flock to this particular drone. The drone also has ActiveTrack so that you can track, profile, and capture all of your favorite moments. Gesture mode is also included allowing you to take the most advanced selfies in the world.
As for one of my favorite Mavic Pro features, its Tripod Mode is what allows the DJI Mavic Pro to even be flown indoors, without a single worry. That’s because this mode tells your DJI Mavic Pro to slow down and be more precise in its movement. Lastly is its Level Headed feature which allows the Mavic Pro to maintain its altitude over any kind of terrain.
The DJI Mavic Pro not only includes all your favorite features, but is compatible with DJI Goggles and can be flown by your phone and even by tapping on your screen. With the DJI Mavic Pro, you are truly in control of your drone and its environment.
Also, make sure to check out the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum, which improves the flight time by the Mavic Pro by 3 minutes and reduces noise power by 60% (or 4dB*).
8. DJI Phantom 3 Standard
The DJI Phantom 3 Standard is the classic, traditional drone, you’ve all been waiting for. As one of DJI’s most affordable drones and filled with features, it’s easy to see why it’s also one of their most popular.
The standard edition is known for its easy to fly nature, ability to capture 2.7K HD videos, 12 MP photos, 720p HD FPV, and 25 minutes of flight time. Its ability to take clear and precise photos and video can further be attributed to its extremely stabilized gimbal.
The DJI Phantom 3 is the perfect drone for beginners, those on a budget, and are looking to take high-quality images and videos. As one of DJI’s safest and easiest to fly drones, fliers will love its Automatic Flight Assistant feature, which allows the drone to fly back to you at a push of a button.
The assistant also gives the drone a memory of its own, remembering exactly its takeoff point. This is a magnificent feature for beginners as it also allows the drone to fly back to you in case the battery runs low or you ever lose signal ensuring better and improved safety.
Even though the DJI Phantom 3 Standard is an excellent choice for beginners, it has appealed to more advanced fliers for good reason. Its completely stabilized gimbal gives this drone the ability to take images and video without a single blur in your captures.
Features like Follow Me is perfect for film crews or any hobbyist who simply wants their drone to be right behind them wherever they go. Its Point of Interest function gives your DJI Phantom 3 the ability to circle around just about any object and face it as you fly.
Its Way Point feature even allows you to set your own paths and destination so the drone takes those routes automatically, while IOC (intelligent orientation control), allows you to specify how you want to fly your drone, making it a great option for beginners and experts alike and perfect for those on a budget.
7. DJI Phantom 3 SE 4K
If you’re looking to spend a little more money for a few additional features, then make sure to check out the Phantom 3 SE with 4K capability. The SE, I think you’ll agree, provides some great improvements upon the Phantom 3 Standard.
While the Phantom 3 SE with 4K is about $100 more, you definitely get your moneys worth. Newly provided features include a 4K camera that shoots at 30 fps and an improved 94-degree field of view. The Phantom 3 SE is further still able to provide 25 minutes in maximum flight time.
You also get an upgraded control range that allows you to fly up to 4KM away, while maintaining the clarity of your FPV feed. Getting shots at further ranges also is no issue. Another new feature in the Phantom 3 SE is Vision Positioning, allowing your drone to fly with precision and steadiness, without the use of any GPS system.
A perfect choice for beginners and hobbyists alike, the DJI Phantom 3 SE model includes all other features previously seen in the Phantom 3 Standard.
6. DJI Phantom 4 Advanced
The Phantom 4 Advanced really builds on the Phantom 3 by DJI. Specs of the Phantom 4 Advanced include 30-minutes of flight time, speeds reaching up to 72 KM/h (double that of the Phantom 3), 30 meter sensor range, 4K 60 FPS video resolution (as opposed to 30 FPS), and a 20MP camera resolution for crystal clear imagery.
The Phantom 4 Advanced indeed has some amazing capabilities, such as with its FlightAutonomy system, allowing it to avoid any obstacle in its path. Its rigid construction further builds on its durability with a specialized titanium and magnesium alloy build.
One of the beauties of its high-tech camera is its ability to avoid any rolling shutter distortion for ultra-smooth imagery. Its included 60 and 30 FPS support is also a result of its high-quality optical performance, 20MP CMOS sensor with processors that allow it to capture in HDR, or high dynamic range.
Other features include WayPoint control (with Draw), ActiveTrack, TapFly, Return To Home, and Gesture Mode. The inclusion of Sensor Redundancy further makes the DJI Phantom 4 fly extremely smooth and stable.
With the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced, you get the best of everything in regards to consistent flight performance, ultra-high images and video, and an abundance of features that will only make you want to enjoy your drone more with each passing day.
5. DJI Phantom 4 Pro
The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is almost identical to the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced with few notable differences. But as far as specs, dimensions, and features go, just about everything is the same.
What makes the DJI Phantom 4 Pro different is that it is much better suited for photographers and filmmakers who want to ensure that their Phantom 4 is safe and sound wherever it goes. The feature that allows the Phantom 4 Pro to do this is its Five-Direction Obstacle Sensor.
Unlike the Phantom 4 Advanced, which is only capable of forward and backward obstacle sensing (of up to 15 meters), the Phantom 4 Pro also has infrared sensing systems that is constantly at work on both sides of the quadcopter (of up to 7 meters).
This greatly eliminates the worry of bumping into any obstacles from absolutely any angle of the drone. This feature is further enhanced by a remote control transmission frequency of up to 5.8GHz as opposed to 2.4 GHz allowing for a much stronger signal.
The Phantom 4 Pro is also better at detecting reflective surfaces and objects. Aside from that everything between the Pro and Advanced are the exact same, except the fact that the Pro also weighs about 20 grams heavier.
4. DJI Inspire 1 V2.0
The DJI Inspire line-up is easily DJI’s most intelligent and advanced drones on the market. In other words, they are the best drones DJI has to offer to professional filmmakers and hobbyists alike. The first model in their line-up is the DJI Inspire 1 (currently V2.0).
As you’ll see the DJI Inspire 1 takes on a very different shape than previous quadcopters and for good reason. Its propellor system allows for one of the smoothest flights you can imagine while adding a huge sense of power and efficiency through out its flight. Max speed on the DJI Inspire 1 can reach up to 50 MPH in speed.
The Inspire 1 also comes with a completely re-engineered motor system, providing huge performance improvements. Carbon fiber arms on each side are capable of being moved at your command to allow for a completely unobstructed view from the camera.

All in all, the DJI Inspire 1 is a drone best-suited for professional film-makers and photographers.
3. DJ Inspire 1 Pro
The DJI Inspire 1 Pro offers large improvements over version 1.0. While most of the specs are the same, the Inspire 1 Pro better equips filmmakers and photographers. Use of the ZENMUSE X5 gimbal is its most notable difference capable of 4K video and capturing images at 16MP.
Its further equipped with an MFT interchangeable lens mount and allows for wireless control over aperture and focus. You also have an increase in High Dynamic Range allowing for much better clarity and color. One thing you’ll notice is that the ZENMUSE X5 produces much better pixel clarity as well.
Its use of a Micro Four Thirds sensor is eight times the size of the X3 allowing for higher quality, and more sensitive image recording with an ISO range of 100 to 25600.
The ZENMUSE X5 allows you to take complete control of how and where you want your videos and images to be taken by telling the camera which area you want it to focus on. This is otherwise known as one-tap auto focus. Manual settings further allow you to take control of aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and more.
2. DJI Inspire 1 RAW (Dual Remote)
Inspire 1 RAW greatly improves upon both the Inspire 1 and Inspire 1 Pro by adding an entirely new level of detail to film-making and still images by use of the ZENMUSE X5R. This particular aerial camera allows photographers to record lossless 4K Videos in RAW.
The Inspire 1 Raw records at up to 30 FPS with a bitrate that ranges from 1.7Gps to an astounding 2.4Gps. It also includes a strong MFT sensor and a camera capable of 16MP images. The sensor is similar to that of the Inspire 1 Pro recording at an iSO range of 100 to 25600.
In addition, the gimbal allows for 360 degree camera movement allowing for one of the most professional aerial imaging solutions. The ZENMUSE X5R is further capable of producing images in JPEG and RAW, while allowing for a 25% increase in additional pixels from the Inspire 1 and also giving you access to multiple shooting modes.
New high-performance motors increase the thrust rate by 30% over the original Inspire and will allow for one of the most accurate, responsive flights imaginable. Its patented Electronic Speed Controllers will further completely re-define the way you drive your DJI Inspire 1 RAW with features like closed loop torque control and distinct functional redundancy.
